Mission/Vission statement

The objective of the Philosophy club is to promote insightful thinking within students, to encourage students to engage in candid philosophic discussion and inquiry. We will have a meeting every Wednesday more specifics will be posted here soon as well as around campus. Everyone is welcome to become part of the philosphy club if you think (wether it be for ypurself or others), have an opinion this is yor invitation. Our Philosophy Club is more of an idealists club we have no real foundation, yet. The school does not offer any philosophy class (go figure!) so we are exsiting to enlighten with anything and everything we attain from text, discussion and observation which in the end is how all things are learned with instructors anyway.

The plan is that by May 25 or 26 the director of Derrida the biographical sundace award winning indie film will visit LAHS and speak to us ( the philosphy club and some) of his film. Well get to ask him questions, it will be something that LA high rarely ever has going on which is great, and especially great of Mr. Dick to schedule the time to speak with us.

• have our own graduation party
Were active!! thus far the PHILOSOPHY CLUB has participated in the club day held on janyary 2004 we sold ice cream and made a few bucks. didnt loose anything and thats always good. unfortunatly we didnt take any pictures but for the next club day we will be sure to have some.
